  • New iPhone OS 3.1.3 and iPhone OS 3.1.3 for iPod touch
    Apple released an update to the iPhone, version 3.1.3 and iPod Touch, version 3.1.3, to correct several ecurity flaws. Users must install this update available through iTunes. For instructions on how to install the update, visit Apple's web site.

  • New SPSS Statistics patch 18.0.1 now available
    The latest SPSS Statistics patch is now available for download from IT's web site. This patch will upgrade your existing SPSS Statistics 18.0.0 to version 18.0.1. You MUST have PASW Statistics 18.0.0 installed prior to applying this patch.

  • Help Desk Moving to IT Pavilion Monday, December 14
    The Information Technology Help Desk will relocate from Welch Hall to begin operating from its new location in the IT Pavilion, Monday, December 14. The Welch Hall location will officially close 6 pm Friday, December 11. The Help Desk phone number will remain x8940.

  • E-mail: What are the hidden dangers?
    Spoofs, spam, spim, and phishing are terms every e-mail or IM user should know. Attackers may phish for personal information by asking for passwords or account numbers through a spoofed (counterfeit) e-mail/IM message or Web site that appears to come from a trusted source.

  • Rockefeller's New E-mail System...Microsoft Exchange
    The Rockefeller community has demonstrated a need for better integration between campus e-mail and mobile devices. In Spring 2009, the university began preparing to replace its current e-mail and calendar system with a modern solution, Microsoft (MS) Exchange. More than just an e-mail system, MS Exchange provides all-in-one access to e-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and voicemail from anywhere. Initially, migration to MS Exchange will focus on e-mail, not calendaring. While the new system also contains a calendar, Rockefeller will continue using Oracle calendar as its official calendar system until the university switches to the Exchange calendar later.

  • New Webmail System
    Users who are on the new e-mail system, or who's e-mail account was created on or after August 17th, may use the new Webmail system to access their e-mail. To access the new web-based system, go to rumail.rockefeller.edu.

  • The third Saturday of every month from 9pm to 9am Sunday is reserved for Rockefeller Exchange e-mail maintenance when required. During this time users may experience intermittent e-mail access during this time.
  • Wednesday mornings from 7:45 to 9 are reserved for non-emergency server maintenance as required. Affected network resources may become unavailable.
